How CallGuard SMS Works
CallGuard enables service businesses (such as HVAC, plumbing, and other home service providers) to send conversational text messages to customers who have contacted them and provided opt-in consent to receive SMS texts via verbal method where the consumer presses a keypad option for consent to SMS communication.
After SMS opt-in consent is given, consumers may receive SMS messages when they:
-
Call a business and the call is missed
-
Leave a voicemail requesting a callback
-
Send a text message to the business number
-
Request service or scheduling assistance
Messages are strictly related to the customer’s service inquiry and may include:
-
Callback confirmations
-
Appointment scheduling coordination
-
Service updates
-
Responses to customer questions
CallGuard does not send marketing or promotional messages to consumers. Messages sent to participating businesses may include secure links to voicemail recordings left by customers for service follow-up purposes
Consent to Receive SMS Communications
When calling a business that uses CallGuard, callers may be given the option through an automated phone prompt to opt in to receive SMS messages related to their service request. Callers must provide consent by pressing a keypad option during the call before any text message is sent.
Messages are conversational and transactional in nature and are not marketing or promotional.
Message frequency varies based on the consumer’s interaction.
Message and data rates may apply.
Consumers may reply STOP to opt out at any time.
Consumers may reply HELP for assistance.
Consent to receive SMS communications is not a condition of purchase.
CallGuard does not sell or share consumer phone numbers or SMS content for marketing purposes.
