CallGuard SMS Consent & Communication Policy

Effective Date: March 10th, 2026

This page explains how SMS communication works for CallGuard, which is powered by The Potter Group LLC.

Consent to Receive SMS Communications

When calling a business that uses CallGuard, callers may be given the option through an automated phone prompt to opt in to receive SMS messages related to their service request. Callers must provide consent by pressing a keypad option during the call before any text message is sent.

Messages are conversational and transactional in nature and are not marketing or promotional.

Message frequency varies based on the consumer’s interaction.

Message and data rates may apply.

Consumers may reply STOP to opt out at any time.
Consumers may reply HELP for assistance.

Consent to receive SMS communications is not a condition of purchase.

CallGuard does not sell or share consumer phone numbers or SMS content for marketing purposes.

When you contact a service provider that uses CallGuard by phone, you may receive a follow-up SMS message if the call is missed and you opted into receiving SMS messages.

This message is sent on behalf of the business you contacted to help connect you with the service provider.

Example message:
“Hi, this is ABC Plumbing via CallGuard. Sorry we missed your call. How can we help you today?

Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.”

Message frequency varies based on your interaction with the business.

Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
Reply HELP for assistance.
